The Vallarta Botanical Gardens are beautiful and vast and about 30 miles south of downtown Puerto Vallarta. We visited them in late November – which is considered off-season so the gardens weren’t as beautiful as they are in peek season which I believe is more like Jan – April. We took the bus and it was about an hour. The cost is about $3.00 per person and you simply walk the grounds looking at flowers, birds, nature, etc. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the gardens since most other days in PV are much more action packed. Plus the ride there is picturesque and interesting.
