We had an absolutely great time at this resort property. It was the best of both worlds - we stayed in a fabulous resort right on the beach (with an awesome pool and swim up bar too!) but, we didn't choose to go with the hotel's all-inclusive plan, as we were staying at a condo with a kitchen. We had the option to eat and cook in our condo, and also able to go out and explore all of the wonderful restaurants in the area. We got lots of recommendations - and found some others on our own. But, that's the best part - being able to explore, without feeling guilty that you've already paid for an all-inclusive buffet for every meal. All of the hotel amenities were still available to us, and the staff treated us like royalty:) Great location - halfway between downtown old Puerto Vallarta, and the marina in the other direction. We had an unbelievable experience with whale watching, a crazy dune buggy road trip -extremely dirty - if you want to try it, bring old clothes, and expect to eat dust! - I personally wouldn't choose that again ;( But - do the evening excursion out to the island for the dinner and show - very nice! So - for a clean condo at a reasonable price in a great location - this is it. I definitely hope to return some day!!
