Joe Jack's Fish Shack is a trendy restaurant in the Romantic Zone.  The restaurant has 2 levels and the upper is open with views of the area.  The wait staff are friendly and quick.  I found the menu to be limited in its options - but what is there is very good.  Whole Red Snapper is thier specialty but I opt'd for the fish tacos which were wonderful.  A guest did tell me they tried the Red Snapper and said it was well worth the price and for us to try this next time we are there. 

Winner of Virtual Vallarta's 2011 Best Seafood Award, Best Burger, and Best Inexpensive Restaurant - so will all these awards it is worth your time to visit  Joe Jack's while in PV.

Absolutely outstanding

I highly recommend Joe Jack's Fish Shack on Basillo Badilla in the "zona romantica" of the old city. Absolutely outstanding for fish and seafood. Always busy, so go early or make reservations.
