Tours in Vallarta

Statues along the Malecon

The Malecon is the backbone of the downtown area of Puerto Vallarta.  Everyone and anyone that visits walks the Malecon at least once.  This area has transformed in the recent past and during this transformation many new statues have emerged and grace the beloved boardwalk.  Read more at PV Insiders

Vallarta Botanical Gardens

The Vallarta Botanical Gardens are beautiful and vast and about 30 miles south of the downtown of Puerto Vallarta.  We visited them in late Novemeber.  You can read about our trip and see our photos from our trip on our blog PV Insiders:

Marietas Island Snorkling with Pegaso Chartering

The tour we went on was the Marietas Snorkling trip on the Isis.  The Isis is a beautiful old sailboat that can handle up to 35 guests plus 5 crew members.  There were only 13 guests the day we went out so there was plenty of room for us to spread out and mingle with others.

San Sebastian Tour

My husband and I took the San Sebastian tour which was a fun way to drive through the mountains and visit a coffee plantation/factory and a tequila plantation and factory plus the virtually untouched town of San Sebastian. Well worth the time (9 a.m - 6 p.m.)to view beautiful country and hear the history of this old town.

Rhythms of the Night

Location

Las Caletas

Rhythms of the Night starts with an evening cruise across Banderas Bay to the isolated cove of Las Caletas.  Drinks flow on the boat as you travel to your destination.  Tiki torches illuminate the shoreline welcoming you to an enchanting evening of endless cocktails, buffet of delicious food such as steak, chicken, fish, vegetables, salads, local fruit, and more.  Plus several dessert options.  Once dining is complete you will then venture to the outdoor amphitheater where you will be treated to a wonderful show of music and dance.  The evening is very romantic

Tour Puerto Vallarta with Reinhard

Location

Puerto Vallarta

Reinhard Dressler is German but has lived in PV for 25+ years.  He is very knowledgable about the area, marine life and the nature surrounding the beaches and when hiking. We did a day trip with Reinhard in December 2009 and it was by far one of the best tours we have taken in Puerto Vallarta.  He is such a super nice guy and goes out of his way to make sure that everyone has a wonderful time.  We snorkled, swam, climbed waterfalls and more.  I would highly recommend spending a day with Reinhard to see PV up close and personal.
