The adults only Oasis Club offers Jacuzzis, dipping pool, Universal gym and sunning area. Fine New Years Vacation - Posted on VRBO 1/17/12
We very much enjoyed our vacation for 9 days beginning New Years eve. The condo is tastefully and comfortably furnished, and the Holiday Inn has fine facilities and an excellant beach. The condo is an inexpensive taxi ride from the airport, from supermarkets, and from the charming center of town. The Holiday Inn staff was excellent. I could live without the dance music at the pool, but obviously many people enjoy it. My only other complaint is there are not nearly enough chaise lounges or comfortable chairs (at the pool and beach) for busy periods and people reserve them with towels starting in the wee hours of the morning. Its a bit of a land rush. Do not skip the massages on a jetty literally overlooking the ocean. They are excellant and inexpensive. For dinner, I highly recommend Joe Jack's Fish Shack on Basillo Badilla in the "zona romantica" of the old city. Absolutely outstanding for fish and seafood. Always busy, so go early or make reservati ons.
